Description

There is nothing quite like the flavour of Mulberry Jelly.

Tiptree’s Mulberry Jelly is made from mulberries grown in a small orchard at the back of the factory. The trees are as much as 150 years old and some young trees planted recently are expected to bear fruit within 20 years or so. Our ancient Mulberry trees at Tiptree provide a rather erratic crop of this rich and much prized fruit.

The delicate berries stain hands when picking which is where the term “caught red handed” originates from, as it's rather obvious if somebody has picked a juicy Mulberry!

The unique taste of the fruit in the soft texture of the jelly lets it almost melt in your mouth.

The Wilkin family have been farming at Tiptree, Essex, since 1757, and making quality preserves there since 1885.

Purchased as Christmas present for my other half. Mulberry Jelly is his absolute favourite.

Unusual Jelly - Pass the Parcel

Tiptree certainly has an array of unusual jams, preserves and jellies. Such a treat for one’s family.
I especially order a mixed box of the unusual offerings to give out as Christmas presents. They go down a treat. It is a bit bulky but we play several rounds of Pass the Parcel with the items wrapped up etc. Great fun and swaps take place.

Christmas Hamper presents

We tried the Mulberry jelly last year and found it incredibly tasty. Both on toast and scones with cream.

This year we ordered lots of jars, to put into Christmas hampers for the relatives.
