Raspberries are gently cooked with sugar in small batches to create this delicious rich preserve with pips.

The Wilkin family have been farming at Tiptree, Essex, since 1757, and making quality preserves there since 1885.

We grow a wide range of traditional English fruits and use them to make conserves and condiments in our nut-free factory by the farm.

Our products are made to cherished recipes and are free from artificial colours and flavours. We inspect and prepare our fruit by hand then cook in small batches using traditional, copper-bottomed pans.

We received our first Royal Warrant from George V in 1911, and remain Royal Warrant holders as purveyors of Tiptree Products to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

Small but tasty

As a small two-person household, tiny jars of condiments are ideal at breakfast time. Having used Tiptree previously, we knew the quality of their product, and that they supplied in low bulk numbers.
We re-ordered on line. No problem. Delivery was fast and fully tracked with e-mail advice. Great. Two things to watch out for. You need to check your mobile for delivery updates frequently, and delivery staff do not leave a paper note to say delivery has happened but will leave on your doorstep and just take a photo. without ringing your doorbell. This even when you waited in specifically. This is not good enough. The recipient needs additional paper proof of delivery to cover tech outage or opportunistic stealing.

Our History

The ‘Tiptree’ story begins around the early 1700s with Trewlands, the farm that was later to become the main site for jam-making in the Essex village of Tiptree. Today, there are some 11,000 inhabitants in what may well be the largest village in the country.

Our farm is LEAF Marque accredited (Linking Environment And Farming), recognising that we work sympathetically with our environment and encourage links with our local community. Fruit crops include strawberries, raspberries, mulberries, Morello cherries, rhubarb, damson, Victoria plum, greengage, quince, and the curious medlar.
