Quince Conserve
Quince is a most unusual fruit, about the size and shape of a large misshapen pear with yellow fluffy skin.
When cooked with sugar, the quince takes on a character all of its own, to create this delightful conserve. During processing of whole quinces at Tiptree, the implement used to de-core the quinces is called a 'Plonker'.

Our History
FRUIT
Today, we have a plentiful supply of a huge range of fruits, sometimes in many different varieties too. Yet it wasn’t always that way and thousands of years ago, the very first preserves were created in order to store that goodness for year-round use.
