A taste of summer came early this year when presenter Cherry Healey was shown visiting the Tiptree strawberry fields and the jam factory for BBC TWO “Inside the Factory.” The Rice Pudding Episode, with a glimpse of Tiptree strawberries, was aired on Tuesday 2nd May at 20.00 and should be available on catch-up.
Filmed last summer Cherry spent time with Wilkin & Sons’ farm manager Andrey Ivanov and then visited the factory to see strawberries being made into Tiptree conserve with factory manager, Mark Smith; a spoonful of Tiptree Strawberry jam is the traditional way to add taste and colour to a creamy rice pudding.
