BBC ESSEX VISIT TIPTREE - NATIONAL CREAM TEA DAY – FRIDAY 24 JUNE 2022
Liana and Barry from BBC Essex “Quest” visited Tiptree on Sunday to talk to Aimee about preparations for National Cream Tea Day on Friday 24 June and to taste freshly picked strawberries.
National Cream Tea Day was set up by The Cream Tea Society, each year they donate 50,000 portions of Tiptree Strawberry Conserve and Rodda’s Cornish Clotted Cream to fundraising charities across the country. It’s an opportunity to share a cream tea with friends or family while raising funds for a local charity, this year Tiptree tea rooms will be focusing on Farleigh Hospice (charity number 284670) while other people are supporting their own favourite charities – a great excuse to indulge in home made scones, delicious jam and clotted cream on a summer day.
